In the last few days, our Kindergarten and Primary School have collected food donations for the Münchner Tafel. The food was picked up on Monday, after which we received a very warm thank-you message from the Tafel. Our children were very happy about the recognition!
With the attached photos, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the Münchner Tafel for the many, many good gifts that the children and parents of the European School in the kindergarten and primary school collected for the needy in the east of Munich.
In addition to the support from food wholesalers and discounters, such personal donations are a wonderful sign of solidarity and sympathy for the fate of our fellow citizens who, for very different reasons, have fallen on hard times.
The contribution from the European School also means a great deal to the many volunteers who distribute the food at the distribution centre at the Lätarekirche in Neuperlach every Tuesday, and serves as a valuable sign of recognition and encouragement.
Thank you again to you and your entire team, as well as to the parents and children of the European School, for this wonderful Christmas present.
