This year, the German theatre group at ESM will once again be performing a Christmas play at the Pepper Theatre in Pep. The play is directed by former students Laura Maicas Vanata and Nicole Mohr, who continue to be actively supported by Iris Krause.
The students will perform an adaptation of ‘The Thief Lord’ based on the young adult novel of the same name by Cornelia Funke. Two orphans flee from their aunt, who wants to separate them, to Venice – the city their mother always told them so much about. They are taken in by the gang of the young Lord of the Thieves and one day receive a mysterious assignment: to steal a wooden lion wing that belongs to a magical carousel – and the magic of this carousel has a great appeal...
Performances will take place on Fridays and Saturdays on 5, 6, 12 and 13 December at 8 p.m. and on Sundays 7 and 14 December at 3 p.m.
Admission is 30 minutes before the performance, tickets cost €8 reduced and €15 regular.
