About three weeks ago, the kindergarten children ceremoniously cut the red ribbon for the move into the new Fasangarten site. In the meantime, everyone has settled in well.
Thanks to the largely good autumn weather, the children have already been able to explore the fantastic new outdoor area: There are large lawns for running and playing football, various wooden climbing frames, a sand and water playground and two beautiful swings. The enthusiasm radiates from many happy children's eyes.
Last week the kindergarten children ate lunch for the first time in the Mensa of the primary school building. For the youngest of the European School Munich it is very exciting to go to the big school.
This week the children learned about the flower of respect. Through this flower the children learn in a playful way what is important for a good community: respect for themselves, for other children, for adults, the environment and property. Among other things, the children made brooches that show the respect flower from modelling clay. Because there is now an oven in the new kindergarten, these could be baked hard. As symbols of respect, they can now be attached to the clothes.
The European School Munich, its kindergarten teachers and staff wish everyone a happy year!
