Excitement Is Rising

The countdown to the next World Cup is on! As a prelude, the Primary School's annual football tournament was held on the 30th April. More than 300 children took part, among them many girls. Teams were created from different age groups and language sections. Every team had a captain who was responsible for fair play in his/her team.

All medals and trophies were handed over by Dana Pavličíková personally. With her knowledge about "the greatest trivial pursuit in the world", she made the hearts of young players beat faster.

As a team sport, football encourages team spirit. One has to play according to certain rules as well as to respond tactically and in favour of the team. At the same time, game-specific motor skills are developed without forgetting to have fun! Congratulations to all tournament winners!

We are looking forward to June when the whistle blows for the World Cup in Russia.
