ESM took part in the Day of Hope event in Munich's Werksviertel today in wonderful sunny weather. The Day of Hope is an information and hands-on day on the subject of sustainability under the patronage of Dr Jane Goodall.
We were proud to present our sustainability activities at the Market of Hope. There was also a ceremony for all award-winning environmental schools in Europe/international sustainability schools, which was attended by our "delegation" with Sustainability Coordinator Florbela Calado, School Director Anton Hrovath and Principal Education Advisor HS Václav Salvet.
Speakers included Head of Office Dr Christian Barth from the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection, Matthias Lorenz from the Bavarian Ministry of Education and the First Chairman Dr Norbert Schäffer of the Bavarian Association for the Protection of Birds and Nature (Landesbund für Vogel- und Naturschutz in Bayern e.V.).
It was a great day that honoured the impressive commitment of our students and those of the other participating schools to environmental protection!
