At the end of January, the Italian Consul General Sergio Maffettone and his assistant Dr Diego Marchiello visited the ESM.
During a tour of the school buildings and in personal dialogue with School Director Anton Hrovath and our management team, he was able to experience our vibrant school life. Our excellent educational program, our focus on Europe and our wide range of projects gave him a great impression of our school but also of the whole system of the European Schools.
He was also fascinated of the idea to spread this type of schooling all over Europe as it is foreseen in the CULT report of the European Parliament.
Finally, he also offered his support to our school and invited us to further closely cooperate with the Italian general consulate in the future. We are delighted that our partnership with the Italian consulate is also officially reflected in a Cat. II framework agreement.
